Ordering a Cake

If you decide to order a cake from me then we will discuss your requirements to ensure that you receive the perfect cake.  Once the details have been agreed these will be confirmed to you in writing.  Please check out the terms and conditions for cake bookings in the 'Find out more' section of this website.

Please feel free to ask for an initial no obligation estimate! The final price will be based on a number of factors, including the size  and complexity of the cake, the number of tiers and the number and detail of any models and figures on the cake.  Please bear in mind that each cake is bespoke and handcrafted, and it takes time to create something unique. To give some idea of starting prices, please see the Cake Prices page (link below). All of my sponge cakes flavours are priced the same, but fruit cakes cost slightly more due to the higher cost of ingredients.  Once I have agreed a price with you (for a specific design) then this will not change.  I do have a minimum order value of £125.

To secure an order and date I require a booking fee for all cakes. Your order is not confirmed until a booking fee has been paid. Please note that the booking fee is 

non-refundable.

• For celebration cakes a 50% booking fee is required. The remaining balance to be paid by via bank transfer a minimum of 7 days before collection.  PLEASE NOTE THAT I ONLY ACCEPT PAYMENTS BY BANK TRANSFER .
• For wedding cakes priced below £300 a £100 booking fee is required. For wedding cakes £300 and over, a £150 booking fee is required.
• For all wedding cakes, the final balance must be paid in full ONE MONTH prior to the wedding, via bank transfer.
• If I have to cancel an order due to unforeseen circumstances, then the booking fee and any monies paid, will be refunded to you in full.

Celebration cakes should be collected at an agreed time and date.  I do not deliver celebration cakes unless by special arrangement. For wedding cakes, delivery and setup is included in the personalised quote price, based upon the location of the venue specified at the time of booking. If the venue is subsequently changed then this may incur an additional charge.

If you are collecting a celebration cake, or choose to collect a wedding cake, then I cannot take responsibility for any damage that occurs to the cake once it has been collected. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that cakes and their decorations are stable, by their very nature they are fragile and need to be handled carefully. But I will alway advise on the best way to transport your precious cake!
