My cakes are all freshly baked to order. I believe that tasting good is just as important as looking good. All of my standard size sponge cakes are a minimum of 5" tall so there is plenty of delicious cake to enjoy!
I am pleased to offer the following flavours, including some classic favourites, but am happy to discuss other requirements. VEGAN options also available.
Vanilla A classic Victoria Sponge, flavoured with vanilla, filled with creamy vanilla buttercream and raspberry or strawberry conserve.
The Chocolate Collection
Luscious Lemon Sponge Made with the zest and juice of fresh lemons, filled with lemon buttercream and a hint of lemon curd.
Carrot Cake A lovely moist and lightly spiced cake filled with a subtle orange flavoured buttercream.
Salted Caramel A gorgeous caramel flavoured sponge filled with salted caramel flavoured buttercream and a layer of caramel sauce.
Red Velvet A light sponge with a hint of cocoa and a fabulous colour! Filled with delicious vanilla buttercream.
Coffee Hit A rich coffee sponge with a delicious coffee buttercream filling (can include an optional splash of Baileys Irish Cream or Tia Maria for good measure!).
Rich Fruit Cake A deliciously moist and rich fruit cake that is infused with French brandy, then covered with marzipan (contains alcohol). Please note: this cake improves if given time to mature, therefore orders should ideally be placed a minimum of two months in advance.
Unless a customer requests otherwise, all iced cakes will generally have a chocolate ganache coating, as this provides a firm base for the icing. This will be either white, milk or dark chocolate ganache depending upon the flavour of the cake itself (but this can be varied if required).
Your cake will be baked from fresh ingredients and will not contain preservatives. It should therefore be correctly stored as you would any other fresh food items, taking account of seasonal temperatures. I would suggest that it is best eaten within 48 hours of collection or delivery. Fruit cakes covered in marzipan should last much longer if stored correctly.
Some of the items used as part of the decorations on my cakes are not edible. I will always advise a customer if this applies to their cake. It is then the customers responsibility to ensure that any such items are removed from the cake prior to consumption.
Cakes contain GLUTEN, MILK (including butter and cream), EGGS, and MAY contain SOYA or NUTS, or are made in an environment where these items are present. Therefore they may be UNSUITABLE for anyone who who has an allergy or intolerance of any of these items.
